Goodthai is a modern Thai restaurant in downtown Shanghai. The design of the restaurant depicts the story of a mysterious Uppsala dancer. She is an extraordinary beautiful angel, graceful and charming. As a supernatural being, she is the cloud water nymph in Thai Hindu culture. Mysterious and elusive, she often danced around palaces in beautiful silks and intricate gold tiaras that symbolized the wealth of Thai dynasties, attracting gods and men alike.

The dining room has two brass arches that lead guests to the private dining room, a traditional Thai temple with an ornately decorated gabled roof profile. These private rooms are separated by brass metal screens, inspired by the intricate patterns of Thai silk embroidery. A dark walnut palette provides the visual focal point for a custom gold pendant light that falls from the ceiling. Compatible with the ground grey series terrazzo baseplate.
